Wow! It's Halloween and I'm so excited to take part in my first spooky season event here on Colors!

This spooky season coincides perfectly with our international move to Wales. As such, my responses may be a little slow as we move into November!

Anyway, that's enough about the real-life terror of moving across the globe! You can have some candy for free, but if you have the time I would love to hear about something mundane that once terrified you!

Actually speaking of, I took my first international trip a couple of years ago and my GOD I was a nervous wreck the entire time. All kinds of crazy things went wrong, but miraculously none that lead to any missed flights or lost luggage.

kind of mundane but maybe not so mundane, but where i used to work people would joke that it was haunted, so sometimes whenever the elevator came up to our restaurant and there would be no one in it i'd get a little spooked.

My last workplace was “haunted” too. Lots of silly stories about computers doing weird things. I didn't believe them, but then I heard footsteps when I was the only person there T_T

When I was really little there was an episode of Dora the Explorer about a volcano (I don't even think it was a real volcano) that made me cry and scream my head off like crazy, which I think is very funny.

We went on a school trip when I was like 6 years old, and there was this display of man-sized bottles of "poison" and I spent the entire time freaking out about my classmates touching them. I have always had anxiety, it turns out. 🙃

Balloons! Oh man. My parents once (ONCE) invited other kids from school around for my birthday, and all they wanted to do was stamp on balloons. Never again!

My two big mundane childhood spookies (which I have mercifully grown out of) were flushing toilets (I was scared they would overflow and be gross) and escalators (specifically getting clothes stuck in them)!

The move is going terrifyingly! But we made it to Wales :^)

Overflowing toilets are gross! Perhaps even more scary as an adult who would now be responsible for cleaning said overflow? *shudders*

I used to get scared by the (Bob Barker's) Price is Right yodeling game when I was little. I don't remember if it was the song or the little weird jerky puppet that was ascending the "slope' that was creepier. I used to run out of the room until it was over!

trick or treat ! i think the silliest thing that makes me jump to this day is the sudden ding of the microwave in my defense,, it is loud and sudden and i am a jumpy man by nature lol

When I was a kid we used to take a road that passed through a mountain range to get to the beach, and whenever it was dark or misty I'd get a little terrified with all those curves and high places. It's such a beautiful view on sunny days, though.

Trick or Treat. Haaaa- Uh, Ironically I used to never be scared of anything; flying, heights, doctors, ect. But some point in my 20s a switch flipped now I am worried constantly and uncomfortable with just about any change to be honest. Its really tricky to say "I over came all of that" cause its not true. However, I remember I had to have surgery on my jaw earlier this year, and for half a year I just lived miserably and was very worried and constnatly had to pep talk myself every single night. The day prior I couldnt even eat I just was very unhappy. When the time comes I litterally was so drained from worry that it went by very fast with no pain at all LOL even the healing process I didn't take anything cause I was just like "idc anymore its over." So I guess that once terrified me, but since its over it no longer does haha.
